Amrit is heart-rending tale of two elderly people (Amrit and Kamla) who are rejected and neglected by their own kith and kin. This is very human story of two socially alienated persons sailing in the badly battered boat in the midst of dangerous social whirlpool and who succeed by dint of their courage and fortitude to attain respect and dignify due to them.

It is based on absolutely novel relationship of these two noble but torn off souls. Their pious relations blossom on the stinking debris of human misbehavior. In sharp contrast, it is also the revelation of unique experiences of inherent goodness and virtue of other characters who have drunk deep the milk of Human Goodness and who rebuild the faith of our battered principal characters in human dignity respect and love.

“AMRIT” is replete with noble sentiments of human Faith, Determination and heart-rending sacrifices and above all, the emergence of hitherto unknown human relation never yet depicted on the screen relation of mutual human kindness and respect without any strings whatsoever. And above all, “AMRIT” is embellished with powerful and sensitive performances, deft handling and soulful melodies and highly meaningful lyrics which will cast their magic spell on one and all for long time to come.
